THERESA KEELER, LCSW-C
It is my belief that psychotherapy will provide you with an opportunity to be heard, to solve problems and to build upon your existing strengths in order to promote healthy change. I believe my role is to collaborate with you, trust your wisdom and help you to learn to trust yourself. We all need and deserve assistance in working through life’s many challenges and transitions.
As a therapist who has worked with a diverse population and a wide array of issues, I provide an environment of empathy, support, empowerment and humor (when appropriate) for individuals, couples and families.
In therapy I use an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches and provide long and short term therapy as well as crisis intervention sessions. As a fellow human being, I believe in the astounding resilience of the human spirit to heal within a supportive atmosphere; as an experienced therapist, I enjoy being a part of and guiding that healing.
I have proudly served in this profession for over 14 years working in clinics, prisons, and shelters. In addition, I have worked extensively in the field of adoption with all members of the triad in varying capacities for the past 18 years . Most recently my primary clinical focus has been in individual, family and children’s mental health needs, family crises, life transitions, trauma, grief/loss, substance use and attachment issues.
I am honored to work with you toward your goal of a happier and more productive life.
