"My therapy sessions with Stephanie began as we sought help for our daughter. Stephanie explained her approach that would encompass me, my husband and both our girls, not just our daughter for whom we were seeking help. It was not long before Stephanie recommended that I begin individual sessions to address my depression. For years I had downplayed depression's negative impact on myself and my family. In time our family sessions became no longer necessary, but Stephanie continued to counsel me through some very difficult depression episodes. In both family and individual sessions, I found Stephanie to be extremely knowledgeable and her advice to be well-grounded. She patiently pursued our goals and gently drew me out. She required me to take responsibility for and be involved in my own treatment. Stephanie is at times tenacious and at times challenging, but always compassionate.
